We met Kim Go-eun in a café in Seoul. She said, "I ached everywhere and always had muscle spasms".

"I had the wire on me 80 times and we took the movie 80 times. I am quick in movement but "Memories of the Sword" wore her out so much that she couldn't do anything else after filming. I plan on working out again".

Emotional acting was just as hard. "I thought there would be a way of overcoming the damaging experience the cheerful character goes through. Controlling the emotions was hard".

Kim Go-eun did a lot of talking with the director about her tone. She said, "There was less 'historical tone' in my voice so it was easier than I thought. The director said he would prefer I spoke with a less historical tone".

The movies "A Muse", "Monster - Movie" and "Coin Locker Girl" left her a tag calling her 'strong'. Kim Go-eun said, "I wanted a normal love story but that wasn't easy".

We told her that's because she was ideal for the roles and she said, "I don't ask what my appeal is. When a person thinks he or she is good looking there is no attraction in that person. Not knowing my attraction is the best appeal".

How does she see herself in the future? "I want to be modern although I'm an actress. I just love acting. I don't have any other greed. I think I've done well so far".

Her first drama "Cheese in the Trap" is going to be released soon.

"It took a while to get to the decision about something I've never done before but I don't think a lot after I've made up my mind". We expect a lot more from Kim Go-eun who is going her own way continuously.
