KBS Responds to Petition for Park Hye-soo's Resignation From "Dear.M"

Amid the fall through of the KBS drama "Dear.M" which was to be broadcast in the first half of the year, the drama has expressed its position on the reorganization of "Dear.M" and the resignation of the main character Park Hye-soo.

KBS Cho Hyun-ah CP said on the 16th through the KBS viewer rights center, "Dear.M" was originally scheduled to air as a Friday drama on February 26th, but it has already postponed its first broadcast due to issues related to the cast".

KBS has implemented a delay in organizing the drama, as there is currently a dispute over the truth on related issues and a police investigation is underway on the case.

KBS added that it is watching Park Hye-soo's alleged school violence accusations and that the direction of "Dear.M" will be determined depending on whether it is true or not. Cho Hyun-ah CP, said, "According to the results, measures will be taken on all matters, including the formation and re-shooting of "Dear.M"".

Earlier in February, Park Hye-soo, who plays the female lead in "Dear.M", was embroiled in a school violence controversy. Park Hye-soo's agency denied the allegations altogether, but the revelers also did not back down on their claims, leading to a legal battle. As a result, the program, which was scheduled to premiere on February 26th, was postponed indefinitely.

Among them, a petition titled "Park Hye-soo to resign from "Dear.M"" was posted on the KBS viewer rights center on the 4th. The article was agreed by more than 4,200 Internet users. KBS, which has an obligation to answer petitions that exceed 1,000 consent within 30 days, made a related position 12 days after the petition was filed.
