Kara's Japanese album places at No. 2 on daily Oricon chart

Korean female idols Kara made a big splash in Japan with their latest album, taking the No. 2 spot on the prestigious Oricon chart.

The girls' first full-length Japanese album titled "Girl's Talk", which came in third on the day of its release on Wednesday, climbed up a notch to No. 2 on the daily Oricon music chart as of today.

"Girl's Talk" is available in three editions - A (includes the album and special DVD), B (includes the album and special pictorial booklet) and C (includes the album and three bonus tracks).

The DVD features never-before-seen clips while the three bonus tracks are the original Korean version of songs "Sweet Days", "Love Is" and "Binks".

Meanwhile, the girls have been promoting their latest album "JUMPING" in Korea and Japan simultaneously, the Japanese version of the album, their second mini-album in the country, was released in early November while the Korean edition as their fourth mini-album hit stores on November 16.

Composed of members Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole, Kara made their debut with their first album "Blooming" in 2007. They are known for their hits "Mister", "Wanna" and "Lupin".

The quintet are also the first Korean girl group to have officially expand their singing career in Japan, singing with Universal Music Sigma, a branch of Universal Music group, and releasing their first Japanese single "Mister" in August.

They are currently preparing for the upcoming Japanese drama "URAKara" which will air in the country in January 2011.
