Top stars Jun Ji-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun are going to enjoy the advantages that their drama "My Love from the Star" brings to them after making a great hit with it last year which made them millions of won in advertisements.

According to sources in the entertainment biz, Jun Ji-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun have been getting admiring calls from advertising companies in Korea and China. They may be getting more than what they did last year.

Jun Ji-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun made 20 billion(~US$20 million) and 30 billion won (~US$30 million) in profits just for modeling alone. The real amount is reportedly slightly more than that each.

The two of them modeled for 25 and 35 advertisements each and most of them are yearly contracted. While the New Year might lead to re-signing of contracts, according to sources, it is very likely they will go through a second year with them.

This is because the products that were promoted by Jun Ji-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun enjoyed the drama effect of "My Love from the Star" as expected. Consumers were mostly Chinese on vacation in Korea and they responded greatly to the products that were being sold by their favorite actor or actress.

An advertising agency claimed that it is very likely the stars will sign on for a second year and they probably might have done so with a few. There is no reason for the companies to turn them down.

The reason why the drama was so much more popular in China is because it seems they shot more advertisements in China but actually they are almost equal. However, the area of promotions was bigger in China and the average guarantee of a yearly contract is about a billion won.

Both the Stars' agencies refused to comment about this matter.

Some companies restrain their contracts to less than a year and sometimes pay more than the billion won Jun Ji-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun are estimated to have made so the actual figures might be a lot more than what reports say.

There is also a possibility that the guarantee will jump and be double the price of what they used to be.

Analysis states that the popularity of Jun Ji-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun will last for another year at least.

Meanwhile, agencies are competing to have them star in their next big thing.

Jun Ji-hyun has already settled for director Choi Dong-hoon's "The Assassination" and has been in the making since last year. The movie is due this summer and she doesn't plan on doing anything else but that.

However, offers are continuously being made from Korea and China.

Jun Ji-hyun's agency claims she doesn't have plans after "The Assassination" and although there are continuous offers, she isn't considering any of them.

Jun Ji-hyun successfully managed to go through an image transformation in "The Thieves" and is reuniting with Choi Dong-hoon in "The Assassination".

Kim Soo-hyun has been on a break since "My Love from the Star" so more agencies have been trying to get to him. He's already been offered a blank cheque from Chinese agencies but he's determined to do something in Korea.

Key East claims, "We've been looking through foreign and domestic scenarios but haven't found anything suitable yet. We want to bring something new but there's not a character that's just right. We want to come up with something as soon as possible".

Reportedly, Kim Soo-hyun refused all offers from China and plans on firming his base for another 2~3 years until he joins the National Service.
