Jang Nara: 'I Relish My Encounters with People These Days'

"Never before have I so acutely felt how important it is to meet new people", said singer/actress Jang Nara after receiving a letter from her Chinese fans.

Jang posted a message on her fan website on March 29 for the first time since she released her album entitled "Yi-jjang" (一張) in China back in January. She wrote, "I celebrated my latest birthday on March 18 for one whole week because my fans from both Korea and China kept congratulating me.

We have also published a book of pictures that young fans of mine from a Chinese school drew for me". She also related how happy she was to open presents that her fans had sent to her agency, and how moved she was when they threw a birthday party for her in Shen Yang.

Jang also said she was inspired during a recent visit to the Korean embassy when the Korean ambassador to China offered her his help whenever she has a hard time in China. She added that she really relishes her encounters with people these days. "Whenever I go to Beijing, I feel so much at home, but I am a little nervous because I will soon be leaving for Qui Ju and Guangzhou to star in a drama", stated Jang. At the end of her message, Jang promised her fans to do her best as a singer and actress as she has now become a year older.

Jang has been cast to play the lead in the Chinese television drama "Daioman Princess". She will stay in China for filming from April to June.
