Jang Keun-suk to Join Public Service

Jang Keun-suk will begin his public service on the 16th for two years. The reason for this decision to join public service rather than the military is because of his bipolar disorder.

According to his agency, Jang Keun-suk was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2011 and the same disorder was diagnosed during medical check-ups. He didn't postpone his admission, but decided to do public service instead. Despite efforts to overcome his disorder, he still experienced effects of the disorder and didn't get the results he wanted.
