[Interview] "Secret Royal Inspector Joy" Kim Hye-yoon, "I Tried to Not Seem So Mean"

Actress Kim Hye-yoon expressed her feelings about wrapping up "Secret Royal Inspector Joy".

tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama "Secret Royal Inspector Joy" which ended on the 28th, is an investigative drama about an active investigator who investigates corrupt officials who are lazy and tired of their career, a nosy lady who is full of desire and passion as well as nameless women who investigate corrupt officials.

"Secret Royal Inspector Joy" was loved by viewers by perfectly portraying the novel romance of Ra Yi-eon (Ok Taecyeon) and Joy (Kim Hye-yoon) traveling between comedy and affection.

Kim Hye-yoon, who recently had a written interview with Expo News to mark the end of "Secret Royal Inspector Joy" said, "I'm happy to finish filming".

Kim Hye-yoon captivated viewers with her refreshing charm as she took charge of Joy, a divorced wife of Joseon Dynasty who rushes to find her happiness in the play. Kim Hye-yoon felt that it was a really fresh setting when she encountered the character Kim Joy, a divorced Joseon woman.

Kim Hye-yoon said, "I wondered if viewers would 'understand' this setting in historical dramas, but as I continued to read the sciprt, I thought, 'This kind of person can exist in the Joseon Dynasty'." She said, "I felt that Joy was a wonderful person, and while building the character, I kept thinking, 'Let's look confident but not mean'".

"Secret Royal Inspector Joy" was the first historical drama challenge for the main characters Ok Taecyeon and Kim Hye-yoon. Kim Hye-yoon said, "There was nothing particularly difficult because it was a historical drama".

She said, "I started when it was hot and ended when it was cold, so I had a hard time because of the weather", adding, "It was nice to wear hanbok in various ways and I enjoyed filming because I could experience situations that I had never experienced".

Furthermore, Kim Hye-yoon said, "I want to emulate Joy, who proudly moves on her own path and finds happiness".
