IndieForum collects publicly participation films

IndieForum is collecting publicly participation films of the 10th Indie Forum 2005 to be held at the upcoming end of May or the beginning of June.


The 10th Indie Forum 2005 takes place from May 28 through June 6 at the Seoul Art Cinema. Full-length or short independent films produced since March, late 2003 are possible to take part in and have no restriction on length or genre.


Applicants have to submit their participation application to the secretariat of the Forum along with VHS tape for screening after downloading from the Forum's homepage ( http://www.indieforum.co.kr ).


As an independent Film & Video Maker's Forum, IndieForum consists of -Film Festival, -Forum, -Workshop, -Makers' community, and -Communication with the audiences.


Founded in May 1996, Indieforum has started out as an outlet for independent filmmakers to show their works and to discuss them.


It is an annual, non-competitive film festival and have no restriction on length or genre, covering drama, experimental, documentary, animation, feature, and short films.


It is hosted by Independent Film & Video Maker's Group, a group of Korean independent filmmakers, and it actively intervenes and expresses its opinions about the reality that the Korean independent films are currently facing.


Forming community through Independent Film & Video Maker's Group, seminars, forums are the part of such efforts.


Also, it introduces foreign independent films to Korean audiences and vice versa. Indieforum exists for films to be independent just as films.
