[Hot Takes from the Noonas] Quick and tasty eye candy in "Seven First Kisses"

Web drama, "Seven First Kisses" has been a hit in Korea and China thanks to guest stars, Lee Joon-gi, Park Hae-jin, Ji Chang-wook, and Kai. Who's next to romance Lee Cho-hee?

Lee Cho-hee plays a 25-year-old employee of a duty-free shop who has never been kissed. Her good deed for a mysterious woman (Choi Ji-woo) is rewarded with seven fantasy dates that end just as a kiss is about to take place. Based on the promotional material, it would appear that Ok Taecyeon, Lee Jong-suk and Lee Min-ho are next on the cards.

As is typical with web dramas, "Seven First Kisses" is light on substance and short on running time. Each episode is roughly 10 minutes long, which is just enough time to set up a fantastic excuse to trot out the sponsoring duty-free company's impressive stable of paid spokesmen.

I am not a fan of the web drama format, because it usually feels like little more than a long form advertisement. However, given the impressive star power of "Seven First Kisses", and the current holiday season, it is easy to consume "Seven First Kisses" like treats from an Advent Calendar. The web drama has just reached the halfway point so viewers can look forward to five more episodes.

My guess is that Lee Cho-hee's heroine will need to choose which man she ultimately chooses to kiss, which is a sufficiently exciting cliffhanger. If I had my way, she would get to kiss all seven men then decide who to continue dating thereafter. Here's hoping for a holiday miracle.
