Hong Kyeong-min to Make Japanese Debut

Singer/actor Hong Kyeong-min will make his Japanese debut as both a singer and actor. Japan's Sankei Sports said in its Internet edition on Wednesday that Hong will act in the movie "We Won't Forget You", scheduled to be released simultaneously in Korea and Japan early next year, and sing a song for the movie's soundtrack.

The new movie portrays the story about Lee Su-hyeon, a Korean who died after saving a drunken Japanese man who fell on a subway track at a subway station in Tokyo five years ago. Hong will play a friend of Lee's and shoot his scenes for the movie in Tokyo in July.

In an interview with the Japanese sports newspaper, Hong said, "I am honored to appear in a significant movie commemorating a courageous Korean".

The song Hong will sing for the movie will be recorded both in Korean and Japanese. Hong himself wrote the lyrics for the Korean version. It will be included in his single album to be released in Japan this fall as well as the movie's original soundtrack to be released in December.
