She takes on the role of Ra Eun-ho, a bright and cheerful 18 year old in the new weekend drama "School 2017". Although this is her first official role, the director saw her as talented and diligent.

Director Park Jin-seok claimed he met the rookie actors before the scenario came out and met Kim Sejeong for the first time. I didn't expect much from her because she's an idol but she did well. She was chosen from 200 competitors. She has potential as an actress as she has many questions and analyzes her character very well".

Kim Sejeong said, "I am going to do my best as this is my first big attempt in acting". She has been working hard according to sources around her. She has been asking her cousin who is also a college student studying web-toon drawing. She learned that he draws a lot and that he has a sore wrist.

The staff and crew say she's becoming more and more like Ra Eun-ho from the script and that they are very compatible. Kim Sejeong and Ra Eun-ho are expected to synergize completely.

Meanwhile, "School 2017" is a drama about teenagers in a school where status comes before name and society which doesn't seem much different from school.
