[HanCinema's News] Yoon Ji-oh Claims She Is Incapable of Protracted Travel

On November 1st Yoon Ji-oh again took to social media to defend herself from charges of impeding the investigations of South Korean police. She has said that she will sincerely cooperate with any investigation, but that the police are only interested in extraditing her.

Specifically, Yoon Ji-oh has said that she never refused to cooperate with the police. Yoon Ji-oh has also stated that health reasons prevent her from being able to travel from more than one hour at a time, which would make it impossible for her to safely return to South Korea.

Yoon Ji-oh has offered several alternative means of allowing herself to be questioned that would not require a physical return to South Korea, but claims that police rejected such alternatives out of hand. Yoon Ji-oh posted an e-mail received from a person in the investigative team on social media to prove these statements. Yoon Ji-oh has also repeated her assertions that this is part of a frame-up.

Yoon Ji-oh also asserted mental and physical reasons against her return, but also asserted that she had done nothing wrong. She blamed the situation on the poor attitude of the police, explaining that her not returning to South Korea was not a matter of her own volition, but instructions given to her by specialists.

When asked for a response to these charges, South Korean police have said that they are not at liberty to discuss Yoon Ji-oh's health status or her personal statements on social media. Yoon Ji-oh has had a warrant issued against her related to alleged fraud regarding her book tour and public appearances concerning the death of Jang Ja-yeon some ten years ago and is currently residing in Canada.
