[HanCinema's News] Yoo Ah-in Talks About "#ALIVE"

On May 27th Yoo Ah-in was present for an online press conference wherein he discussed his upcoming movie "#ALIVE", which is set to be released next month. In the press conference he emphasizes the seemingly unique nature of the project, centered as it is around an offbeat young man who is suffering from loneliness in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.

Yoo Ah-in also talked about his approach to acting. Yoo Ah-in said there was no special method to "#ALIVE", as he found his character personable and was thus able to have a good time. His stylistic attitude was described as maximization. Yoo Ah-in said that as production progresses he can work more naturalistically.

Yoo Ah-in also had moments of humility. Though he described "#ALIVE" as having a unique approach he realized when "Time to Hunt" came out earlier this year that Ahn Jae-hong had actually already done a fairly similar character type in that movie, and quite well to boot. Nevertheless, he smiled as he recounted the embarrassment that he had been beaten to that milestone, describing himself as a fan of Ahn Jae-hong's work.

As to co-star Park Shin-hye, Yoo Ah-in said that he was long aware of her work, and had even met seen her while they were still starting off, and found it odd how they'd never had a chance to work together. Ultimately it was a matter of Park Shin-hye tending toward romantic comedies and melodramas, which Yoo Ah-in has not done recently. However, Yoo Ah-in expressed interest in working with her again on another genre project.
