Kim Hye-soo followed with a more elaborate post, emphasizing that Youn Yuh-jung's achievement in spite of her old age is proof that no one knows what life will hold, and all one can do is continue living. Youn Yuh-jung is seventy-three, while Kim Hye-soo turns fifty-one this year.

Jeon Do-yeon delivered her message via her agency, stating that the news of Youn Yuh-jung winning the award was something everyone could have believed and never doubted. The two had co-starred in "Beasts Clawing at Straws" last year. Additionally, Youn Yuh-jung co-stars from the variety show series Youn's Restaurant offered their own congratulions. These included Park Seo-joon, Jung Yu-mi, and Choi Wooshik, who described Youn Yuh-jung as a mentor like figure.

Bae Doona offered a similar sentiment with a post on Instagram Story that had her offer congratulations with a news article. Even before winning the Best Supporting Actress award, Youn Yuh-jung had been a major fixture in South Korean media for the preceding month. A television documentary, Younstory, featured many other celebrities talk about their admiration for the elder actress.
