[HanCinema's News] Song Joong-ki Represents Successful Night at Baeksang Art Awards

On May 13th the 57th Baeksang Art Awards were held at KINTEX in Goyang. Song Joong-ki was just one of many actors to appear on the red carpet that evening. He also had a better than average night. Of five persons across three categories for projects Song Joong-ki was a major part of, two came away victorious.

Both winning nominations were for "Space Sweepers" which premiered on Netflix earlier this year. While "Space Sweepers" did not receive any nominations in major categories, it had two for the best technical award. Jung Sung-jin and Jung Chul-min were nominated together for best computer graphics, while Jang Geun-young was nominated for art. Ultimately, Jung Sung-jin and Jung Chul-min came away with the top prize.
Song Joong-ki was more directly up for competition with "Vincenzo" where he received a best actor nomination for the title role. However, he ultimately lost to Shin Ha-kyun of "Beyond Evil" for the top prize. Director Kim Hee-won-II was also nominated for "Vincenzo" but he too lost to Kim Cheol-gyoo of "Flower of Evil" in his own field.
