At the same time, Big Boss Entertainment confirmed having already negotiated a new role for her. This is not the first time that Son Ji-yoon has played the role of an autopsy doctor. This was also her role in "Trap - Drama" from 2019. However, the new role in "The First Responders" is a much more significant one for the actress, as it is a named part with regular interaction with the main cast. Son Ji-yoon has principally worked in stage productions over the years, perhaps most significantly in the original stage version of "Haemoo" from 2007.

"The First Responders" stars Gong Seung-yeon, Kim Rae-won, and Son Ho-jun as members of a joint task force between police and firefighters that responds to emergencies. The script comes courtesy of Min Ji-eun who wrote "Partners for Justice" in 2018 as well as its sequel "Partners for Justice Season 2" from 2019. "The First Responders" will premiere on November 11th in the timeslot currently occupied by "One Dollar Lawyer" on SBS.
