The TV Chosun drama "Queen: Love and War" has achieved a new ratings record of 4.3% in its third week of broadcasting. The steady rise in the drama's popularity appears to have persisted even though the drama was on break for December 28th and 29th.

"Queen: Love and War" is a historical costume drama that centers around Joseon-era political power plays as they relate to women attempting to be selected as the royal consort. Though TV Chosun is not well-known for dramas, "Queen: Love and War" has attracted much interest for its women-centered storyline and traditionally styled costume drama storyline.
"Queen: Love and War" had a strong opening first episode with ratings of 2.5% airing in the a late night timeslot. "Queen: Love and War" leads its timeslot for dramas on Sunday nights, but has always ranked second on Saturday nights. The ratings data was collected by Nielsen Korea.
