[HanCinema's News] Nam Gyu-ri becomes jazz singer in "Different Dreams"

In the drama Nam Gyu-ri plays Miki, the second lead who is the best friend of the first lead, Yeong-jin (played by Lee Yo-won). Their relationship is expected to undergo difficulty as the story progresses, owing to turnabouts in their relationship with second male lead Fukuda (played by Lim Ju-hwan).

The image communicated by the costuming is that of a solitary beauty. This is appropriate thematically both for Miki's apparent profession as well as for the awkward position the Korean people are in as a whole during this time period.

Nam Gyu-ri has said that it is an honor to have a role in an independence themed drama like this on the one hundredth anniversary of the March 1st Movement. She referenced the blood, sweat, and enthusiasm spilled during filling as the cast and crew doing their very best. She hoped for more of the same in the future as well as for viewer support.
