[HanCinema's News] "Moonlit Winter" Follows up South Korean Melodrama Trend of Memories

Kim Hee-ae is coming back in November with the new melodrama "Moonlit Winter". The movie is looking to follow up on the themes from other recent melodramas like "Be with You" and "Tune in for Love", as its lead characters set off in search for lost memories related to her first love.

"Moonlit Winter" will be Kim Hee-ae's first romantically themed project since "Second to Last Love" television drama from 2016. "Moonlit Winter" will, like "Second to Last Love", deal with the way love is seen by older women. Kim Hee-ae turned fifty two years old this year, although she is still considered a fairly desirable actress.
"Moonlit Winter" will also be aiming for higher pretensions than the three year old weekend drama. "Moonlit Winter" was invited to the Busan International Film Festival this year. Its viability in the mainstream movie market is as of yet unknown, but at minimum it could spark a renewed respectability for Kim Hee-ae in terms of more artistically themed projects.
