[HanCinema's News] Former "Love Match" Co-stars Kang Eun-bi and So Hye-ri Feud

Several years ago Kang Eun-bi and So Hye-ri starred in the erotic comedy film "Love Match" which was designed for the South Korea On Demand Television market. Since then their lives have drifted in different directions- but an impromptu attempt to reunite the two on afreecaTV ended disastrously.

It all started on May 6th. Kang Eun-bi, herself a BJ on afreecaTV was a guest on another stream. The host of the stream had found materials indicating that Kang Eun-bi had gotten along well with her former "Love Match" co-star So Hye-ri and arranged for the latter to call into the program.

While So Hye-ri made a cheerful personal greeting, Kang Eun-bi responded coldly, saying that they were not friends. The two then started feuding over various aspects of the time they spent working together. The mood turned sour, escalating so much over the next day to the point that the parties were considering filing charges for slander.

In response to the feud other staff for "Love Match" started posting on social media about how they remembered past events. One described Kang Eun-bi as a quiet, kind person who would share food gifts sent in from fans, and then described So Hye-ri as being fairly loud.

On May 7th Kang Eun-bi posted a full direct message transcript of a conversation she had with So Hye-ri on the subject, discussing frustration and stress from recent personal problems. This appeared to suggest the two were coming close to reconciliation on the subject, though the two were still disputing technical aspects of each other's stories on May 8th.

Also on May 8th, the host of the stream who arranged the surprise phone call made a video on his knees. He apologized to all involved parties as well as fans for his poor handling of the situation, most obviously in failing to pitch the idea to Kang Eun-bi ahead of time and choosing to make it a surprise.
