[HanCinema's News] "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" Tops Good Data Report for Fifth Straight Week

On August 1st the Good Data Corporation published its latest analysis of which South Korean television dramas are most popular on non-traditional metrics such as social media. Twenty-one dramas were surveyed from July 25th to July 31st to arrive at the findings. Once again, the legal drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" dominated in news articles, VON (voice of net), SNS, and videos, confirming its status as the most popular television show in the country.

The popularity of "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" also extends to its performers. Kang Tae-oh in the leading male role as a law firm employee was the most popular actor Park Eun-bin in the leading role as the titular lawyer was in second place. Koo Kyo-hwan, who plays an initially minor role that's taken on greater importance, was in fourth place. Joo Jong-hyuk-I and Jin Kyung in more distant supporting roles were ninth and tenth place respectively.

"Extraordinary Attorney Woo" even outperformed two new dramas this week. "Big Mouth" instead opened in second place, while "Today's Webtoon" opened in fourth place, despite both new dramas being highly anticipated. Third place went to the still ongoing fantasy historical drama "Alchemy of Souls" while the evening soap opera "Gold Mask" was in fifth place. "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" had ratings of 15.157% in its most recent episode, the tenth, which aired on July 28th.
