[HanCinema's News] Esquire Under Fire for Publishing Wrong Photo of Kim Seon-ho

On November 20th Esquire Korea released pictures from a photoshoot of Kim Seon-ho which were to be published in an upcoming issue. But Esquire Korea was soon embarrassed as an untouched photo of Kim Seon-ho was mistakenly use in their own official materials. This is inspite of the fact that the correct, touched up photo had been sent alongside other samples to the press ahead of time in order to promote the issue.

The mistake has not disappeared, as fans of Kim Seon-ho grabbed the untouched photo and have since disseminated it online. The untouched photo in question depicts Kim Seon-ho drawing on his own face. Compared to the airbrushed version, Kim Seon-ho's skin is less smooth. The actor also looks more tired, and the picture overall is a wider shot, with the touched-up version being more of a close-up, in addition to being a larger picture in terms of absolute size.

Fans are divided in their appraisal of the two photos. Some prefer the untouched version, stating that it gives off a more noirish vibe and makes Kim Seon-ho look tougher- a different yet interesting take on his image. Other say that this is for good reason, since Kim Seon-ho is not a natural fit for that image. Others claim not to see any meaningful difference between the two photos at all. Kim Seon-ho is currently appearing in the drama "Start Up" which last posted television ratings of 5.1%.
