[HanCinema's News] Core cast confirmed for "The Perfect Deal"

On October 28th, wavve confirmed that Yoo Seung-ho, Kim Dong-hwi-I, and Yoo Su-bin would be the core cast members for their upcoming drama "The Perfect Deal" which is based on the ongoing webtoon of the same title. The story deals with two men in their twenties who accidentally kidnap an old classmate. The crime thriller deals with all three of these friends attempting to extricate themselves from the situation, with a possible million dollar financial payout at stake.

The drama is expected to have artistic sensibilities, as it comes courtesy of director Lee Jung-gon of the independent film festival circuit. Lee Jung-gon was highly acclaimed for his work with the baseball film "Not Out" last year, which dealt with a high school student attempting to negotiate his way into a professional baseball career, resorting to crime in the process. This will be the first credit for Lee Jung-gon in a drama as opposed to a film project.

Yoo Seung-ho will play the leading role of Lee Joon-seong, the credited lead and former star soccer player who inadvertently get embroiled in the kidnapping scheme while trying to make a new life for himself. Kim Dong-hwi-I will play Song Jae-hyo, who is described as the active agitator for the kidnapping incident, while dealing with his own personal issues in medical school. Lastly, Yoo Su-bin will play Park Min-woo, the kidnapping victim who as the sole son of a wealthy household proves a tempting target.

In a statement, wavve stated that they hoped the strength of this cast would make "The Perfect Deal" a strong prospect for viewers, due to its unqiue combination of young veteran actors. No release window has been announced for "The Perfect Deal" although filming is expected to begin by the end of the year. "The Perfect Deal" is also only the current working title.
