The initial age gap makes a relationship between the two inappropriate. So it's no surprise that Hee-do has another boyfriend before ever getting together with I-jin. The immediate context is Hee-do meeting I-jin again during the 1998 Asian Games. Subsequent conversation between the three of them over dinner reveals that Hee-do had only been dating Jo-jin for three days. Ultimately the two only end up dating for about two weeks..

Ho-jin is weirdly controlling, saying that Hee-do should not wield a knife with her delicate hands despite the fact that she's an elite fencer. Hee-do explains to I-jin that she was motivated to date Ho-jin mainly out of curiousity regarding what dating is like. Choi Tae-joon most recently appeared as the lead in the streaming drama "The Man's Voice" on Olleh TV and Seezn. He married actress Park Shin-hye, his long-term girlfriend, on January 22nd. The two are expecting their first child later this year.
