[HanCinema's News] Choi Seung-hyun Expresses Remorse for Past Misdeeds

On January 6th Choi Seung-hyun (T.O.P) posted a picture of the American artist John Baldessari on his Instagram account. The portrait itself is unremarkable, but rather a comment made on the account is what has inspired interest.

A commenter wrote that Choi Seung-hyun should live well and it would do him no good to fail again. To this Choi Seung-hyun personally replied, in English, 'agreed'.

Choi Seung-hyun was the subject of some controversy back in 2017 before doing mandatory service. He was caught smoking marijuana with an apprentice girl group member and was also discovered using a handicapped parking space. Consequently, his release from service was last July. Choi Seung-hyun has benefited somewhat by his fellow band member "Seungri" becoming embroiled in the 'Burning Sun' scandal last year, making his own misdeeds seem trivial by comparison.

Choi Seung-hyun has been keeping a low profile since his release. He is currently set to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 10th and April 17th, which is being billed as Big Bang's comeback. No other major public engagements are forthcoming.
