[HanCinema's Image Gallery] "Save the Green Planet"

Jang Joon-hwan's daring debut "Save the Green Planet" (2003) is both cruel and unusual. Violence, torture, aliens and the end of the world are all juicy prospects for cinephiles and sci-fi fans alike, but often the results are B-grade and gaudy. Jang's film, however, is a delightful and unique merger of ideas that are well sutured and sharp; a welcome and edgy edition to modern Korean cinema's impressive filmography. This cult classic is over ten years old now but Jang's opening act still endures and is aging well. Enjoy! [SPOILERS].
