It was a close race for the top spot but Jang Hoon's "The Front Line" came through with the honours. The war drama saw some 474,439 tickets sold bringing its total to 1,635,877. Jang Hoon involves himself in a number of technical arenas in the industry and is probably best known for two previous films "Rough Cut" and the 2010 hit "Secret Reunion".

Putting in a hard challenge for the top is "Quick" with 466,845. This fast paced action flick has its special effects to lean and is holding its own in the charts this week. The final instalment in the Harry Potter series follows with 434,929 admissions. Despite criticism against its ending, the film is being well received as loyal fans and follows flock to see Harry in his last adventure against the dark lord of magic. "Captain America: The First Avenger" is at four with 256,212. Yes this is yet another superhero film to come out of Hollywood but don't be deterred as this one is set to raise to the top in its genre for 2011.

Last week's ten "Leafie, A Hen Into The Wild" jumps to five with 228,806 admissions. This Korean animation is based on a preteen novel of the same name and its success has transferred to the big screen. Actress Moon So-ri voices the lead in this one with support from Yoo Seung-ho, Choi Min-sik and Park Chul-min. The other animation "Rio" follows with 201,203 admissions. "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" has had a phenomenal run in Korea, but that's no real surprize. The Hollywood blockbuster seems to be made for the Korean public as it approaches the 8 million mark.

The second last animation in this week's chart is "Cars 2". The film continues its formula of lovable characters, mild conflict and plenty of chuckles but is being outdone by the bigger hits of the summer. "Cars 2" only managed a soft 67,998 admissions. At nine is the enduring Korean film "Sunny - 2010", Korea's biggest film of the year now has 7,226,134 tickets sold. Finally at number ten is the animation "Doraemon: Nobita and the New Steel Troops: ~Angel Wings" with 53,518.
