Lee Myung-se and Lim Chang-sang's remake "My Love, My Bride – 2014" retained pole position over the weekend and in the process moved its total tally onto 1.4M admissions ($10.6M). Last week a number of Korean features scored a top ten finish, but of those new entries only "My Love, My Bride – 2014", "Whistle Blower", and "Slow Video" remained competitive in the chart, while Shin Jae-young's "Manhole" and Yim Pil-sung's "Scarlet Innocence" fell promptly out of favour.

"My Love, My Bride – 2014" claimed 396K (28.3%) over 596 screens to once again occupy first place, with the action fantasy "Dracula Untold" following in second with 260K (19%) going its way. Yim Soon-rye's "Whistle Blower", which tells the story of 'Dr Lee' and his questionable reports on stem-cell research, held onto third by attracting 170K (11.8%) to its screens. The top three retained their position from last weekend despite the shuffling that went on below them, and together captured over 59% of the box office pie.

Bill Granger's spy thriller "The November Man", starring Pierce Brosnan, Luke Bracey, and Olga Kurylenko, was the highest new entry in fourth, and from its 395 screens "The November Man" attracted 127K filmgoers (8.8%) to its cause. Not far off Granger's canonical creation came "The Maze Runner" with 109K (7.4%), a popular young adult adventure that has thus far earned over $19.3M (2.6M admissions) in Korea. In sixth place stood the French comedy "Serial (Bad) Weddings" by Phillippe de Chauveron. Chauveron's film claimed 84K admissions (5.9%) over 343 screens in its first week out, and was closely tailed by the "Annabelle", a co-production between Korean and Warner Bros., with 76K (5.1%).

Last weekend Kim Yeong-tak's comedy "Slow Video" managed to enter the fray in fourth with 159K, but its second weekend saw it slump to eighth with just 58K (3.9%) in the kitty. "Slow Video"'s latest performance meant that it crosses the million admissions mark with its new total tally of 1.1M ($8.1M). Lastly, the weekend was rounded out by John Carney's popular comedy drama "Begin Again" (58K), a film made for just $9M that has already grossed over $60M worldwide, and the Japanese animation "Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters: The Great Dinosaur Battle! Farewell Our Eternal Friends" claimed tenth with 17.5K.
