[Interview : ] "So the round table is the framework for this year's Gwangju Biennale, and within the framework, each of us has reflected our territorial practice, which has resulted in the six sub themes that are part of the round table".

[Reporter : ] Over 100 artists from 40 countries will portray their arts in this year's Biennale. Visitors can try to figure out the true meaning behind each masterpiece".

The biennale is organized into six sub-sections with distinct themes, such as nature, space, peace and history.
Many of the works in the biennale incorporate social, political or cultural elements.
Some of the artwork uses real military firearms to deliver a warning about unecessary violence.
Some artists are showcasing performance art.

[Interview : ] "When I perform, I improvise and the piece is about life and death. So hopefully the media and then the shape and movement will come together and express the changing nature of people's body".

There will be special performances and events for visitors on weekends and during the Chuseok harvest holiday at the end of the month.
