[HanCinema's News] Kwak Dong-yeon to Hold First Japanese Fan Meeting in Six Years
By William Schwartz | Published on
Recently, Kwak Dong-yeon's agency announced that the actor would be having a fan meeting entitled HEARTS on July 28th at Katsushika Symphony Hills in Tokyo. The title of the fan meeting is a play on words- Kwak Dong-yeon's surname and the first half of his given name can be interpreted as onomatopoeia meaning the sound of a heartbeat. Kwak Dong-yeon's last fan meeting in Japan was in 2018, following his popularity thanks to "Love in the Moonlight" at that time.

The more recent fan meeting was prompted by Kwak Dong-yeon's popularity in "Queen of Tears" earlier this year. Surprisingly, Kwak Dong-yeon did not have a leading role in either "Love in the Moonlight" or "Queen of Tears" and was only supporting cast in both series. Nevertheless, his Japanese fan club has proven quite in their appreciation for the twenty-seven year old actor. The fan club will have first option for ticket sales from June 20th. General sales via Lawson Ticket will begin on June 24th.
