Former K-Pop Idol in Speed Racer

PARK Jun-hyeong, former member of Korean all-male pop group GOD, is set to make his US acting debut in the high profile futurist thriller Speed Racer. A trailer for the highly anticipated film, featuring PARK in dyed-white hair and sporting a tattoo on his back is generating a lot of buzz.
The film is directed by the renowned Wachowski brothers, whose Matrix Trilogy franchise became a world-wide hit. Speed Racer is based on an animation series called Maha Go Go Go and revolves around young people involved in the risky sport of car racing. PARK's character in the film is rumored to be at polar opposites with the friendly pop persona he was previously known for.
His management agency JYP Entertainment said, "Speed Racer marks the start of Park's Hollywood acting career. After shooting the film, he has lived in LA annd received several film casting calls". The film is set to open in May of 2008.
