Kang Je-gyu's father passed away on the 21st.

According to his sources, his father, Kang Yeom-won, passed away on the 21st.

An announcement was made regarding the funeral saying, "In these sensitive times due to COVID-19, we appreciate your heartfelt condolences, but visitors will only be allowed on the 22nd between 1PM to 23PM".

The funeral was at the Seoul Sungmo Hospital room number 31 and the send off was on the 23rd.

Meanwhile, Kang Je-gyu helmed films "The Gingko Bed" (1996), "Shiri" (1998), "Taegukgi" (2003) and more. He's looking forward to the release of "Road to Boston" starring Ha Jung-woo and Im Si-wan.
