The Fifth Exhibition of Excellent Student Works hosted by the Japan Electronics College was held on June 15 and 16 at the Exhibition Hall of Seoul Animation Center, Myungdong, Seoul.

The exhibition aimed at expanding the exchange of cultural content between Korean and Japanese youth and discovering and nurturing young and talented creators who are much in demand in the global era.

The exhibition showcased about 40 works in the categories of animation and character, with submissions from Korean high school and college students gathered between April and May.

Aside from the selected works, the exhibition also held other affiliated events for students, teachers and parents who are interested in CG, animation, and game, such as field experience learning programs, special open classes given by the faculty of Japan Electronics College, participants' open voting for excellent works, and academic counseling service for students.

"This event is meant to strengthen the friendship between young Koreans and Japanese, and hopefully encourage them to exchange ideas", said the event organizer.

The final result of the competition was announced on June 16, 4 PM at the exhibition hall, with the winner receiving a free five-day study-trip to Japan.

Admission was free. Participants in the field experience learning programs joined by downloading and completing a participation form on the event's website (http://jec.or.kr/2007/)
