The 26-year-old female singer, who became popular with songs, "Crazy" and "Saturday Night", made a comeback with her new title track, "Queen", on SBS Inki Gayo (Popular Song) on July 11. She again proved herself as a sexy star through this performance.
As Son's performance with the MR-removed videos were posted online by a netizen, her vocal capabilities as a singer have been harshly criticized. MR (music recorded) should be played to help her singing, but she barely sang in the video with the MR removed.
"She needs to practice more on singing than dancing", a netizen said in reaction to her voice. "I don't know where she actually sang with MR", another netizen said.
Meanwhile, the singer had been suspected of plagiarizing part of a U.S. drama, "Alice", in her music video, Queen.
