The Little Finger by Lee Ik-soo, a hit webtoon on the portal Naver that shook the online community will be made into a TV drama.
The drama production company My Name Is Production announced that it has signed an agreement to secure a copyright to the webtoon and embarked upon production.
Netizens praise that the webtoon is a "perfect combination of a well-thought out plot and a great storyline" and that it is a "sadly realistic, heart-warming masterpiece that touches the deepest part of human heart". It was released on the portal Naver in a series from May 2008 to October 2009 and rated 9.7 out of 10.
My Name Is Production that is currently co-producing "Jejoongwon", a historical drama airing on every Monday and Tuesday on SBS said, "We are currently in the planning stage and aim to begin airing the drama based on the popular webtoon in the second half of the year. Since it is a webtoon-turned drama, we are planning to add fresh elements of fun and go for an A-list cast to live up to its reputation".
The Little Finger is a story about a young man and a girl who get romantically and tragically entangled in each other's life. The man with a checkered past runs over a girl with his motorcycle, leaving her in a vegetative state. He visits her lying on a sick bed everyday and tells his story to the girl. As he does, he regrets what he has done wrong and struggles to be born again as a new man.
