Comedian to Marry in July

Comedian Park Kyung-rim, 29, will tie the knot with a 28-year-old office worker at Shilla Hotel in Seoul on July 15.

The groom, Park Jung-hoon, is an employee of Samsung SDS and graduate of one of Korea's most prestigious universities.

Park met her future husband while working on the KBS program titled "Introduce Good People, " which she hosted with comedian Park Su-hong in July last year.

He appeared as one of the guests on the program matching single men and women.

After his appearance, the two frequently met privately.

The groom to be reportedly proposed marriage to Park with 400 roses and some candles.

Park graduated from Dongduk Women's University, majoring in broadcasting and entertainment.

She debuted on a radio program on KBS in 1998 and has performed as a talented MC in major entertainment programs.

She was also named as a goodwill ambassador for "Save the Children", a social welfare organization, in December last year.

Meanwhile, Han Kyeong-chon, the program's producer, married Lee Min-joo, 28, on April 28 after dating her for one year. Lee was also a female guest on the program in June last year.

Kim Yun-jung, the program's scriptwriter, also married a man who appeared on the program in February.

Yet another entertainer, Seo Hye-rin, announced her upcoming wedding in August. The 36-year-old actress will marry her Swiss fiance, who is three years her senior and works in Korea as director of a luxury brand.

The two met at a party two years ago and has been dating since July last year.

Seo said her husband to-be proposed romantically, asking her to marry him with a ring in one hand and a written promise in the other. The couple already filed their marriage registration request yesterday, but will need to wait a month for it to process, as it is an international marriage.

The ceremony will take place in Hawaii.

Seo appears for the sixth year on the longest-running domestic TV drama, "Jujube Tree", on KBS, and has starred in movies such as "Corset" and "Promise".
