"Mystic Pop-Up Bar" is a counseling drama about a bad-tempered owner lady and her innocent part-time worker who resolve the grudges of customers in their dreams.

Choi Won-young takes on the role of Chief Gwi, the manager of the Mystic Pop-Up Bar.

Chief Gwi was formerly the Chief Detective Officer of the Underworld Police Agency. When his performance drops, he gets appointed as a manager to manage, supervise and assist Wol-joo (Hwang Jung-eum).

During his time as Chief Detective, he used to collect ghosts, spirits and such, but now he is in charge of miscellaneous tasks such as peeling onions, peeling potatoes, and attaching fish cake skewers, let alone managing the pub.

Although he's always bickering with Wol-joo 24 hours a day, he always stands by her when something happens.

The stills of Chief Gwi show him doing chores. Peeling onions in an apron has already become an everyday chore for him.

He looks professional in the goggles he's wearing to protect himself from crying from peeling onions. It is one of the most important tasks for him to make Wol-joo, who is suffering from performance pressure, feel good.

However, when Chief Gwi is dressed up outside of the pub, he's almost unrecognizable. It is curious as to why such a reputational Chief Detective ended up peeling onions in Mystic Pop-Up Bar and what he is willing to do for Wol-joo's performance increase.

The stills released hint that Choi Won-young is going to go through major changes through the drama.

The production heightened anticipation for the drama by explaining, "The charm of this character is limitless. He becomes a completely different person from when he's peeling onions to solving matters".

It added, "Choi Won-young's solid acting makes Chief Gwi stand out more. His synergy with Hwang Jung-eum is spectacular so you can look forward to the first episode".
