She revealed her decision on Instagram on the 21st. She said, "I talked about the 'Me Too' campaign recently in an interview, but I regret not sounding more supportive". She worried that her participation might seem like a trend on social media.

Meanwhile, with the recent accusations of indecent assault by the theater director Lee Yoon-taek and actor Jo Min-ki, the 'Me Too' movement is spreading.

The following is Choi Hee-seo's statement

"I talked about the 'Me Too' campaign recently in an interview, but I regret not sounding more supportive".

"I am afraid the 'Me Too' movement will seem like just a trend like social media and be used as a material for people to pretend to care for 'awareness'. I worry that it would only seem like people cared, but not lead to change".

"The reporter told me that the movement was slowly surfacing and spreading 'Me Too' online doesn't mean nothing".

"A week later the 'Me Too' movement in the theater industry spread like wildfire and it is spreading to its most violent effects. The people I know are the victims, and I heard this story from my friends many years ago. I only reacted back then and forgot about it like it wasn't my business. I'm embarrassed".

"We can't change the world with a few letters on our hands, but since the small and strong backlash led to the press conference and the petition of the people at the Blue House, I want to be a part of it before it's too late".

"I share the last few words of my favorite writer Eliyah Kazan. Everyone's voices, not just the actors, but everyone else who matters, should be heard".

"I will be heard".
