Cherry Blossom Season to Start in Early April

Cherry blossom will likely start to bloom on March 24 in Jeju and on April 9 in Seoul.

As the flowers take about a week to open fully, the best time to visit the famous street lined with cherry blossom trees in Yeouido, Seoul will be around April 16.

That is about one to three days faster than average years, the Korea Meteorological Administration said Thursday.

Meanwhile, this weekend should be fine and warm across the country with highs around 10 degrees Celsius in many parts of the country including Seoul.
