Cheongju Cultural Industry Promotion Foundation to hold an animation screening for children

Cheongju City has a great gift for children enjoying their winter vacation.

The Cheongju Cultural Industry Promotion Foundation (Chairperson: Nam, Sang-Woo) is holding until Jan. 30 an animation screening for children, a free screening of recent popular animation films at the movie theater inside the Cheongju Cultural Industry Complex.

With 16 animation films released in the last three years that were highly acclaimed in various international film festivals, this screening offers films that have never been broadcast on TV or commercial theaters in Korea.

Various production techniques such as 2D, 3D, and clay animation were implemented in these award-winning films, boasting of diversity, originality and a remarkable experimental spirit. The Foundation expects that these films will offer something different and exciting to children who may have only been familiar with American and Japanese animation films.

The 16 films are categorized in four themes: dream, courage, love, and joy. All the films are rated for children and the whole family can come and enjoy the films. For the detailed program and schedule, please visit the foundation's website (www.cjculture.org). Admission is free.
