Ahn Joong-geun Played by Hyun Bin in "Harbin"

Actor Hyun Bin will become Ahn Joong-geun. CJ ENM announced on the 17th that the movie "Harbin", starring Hyun Bin, will begin filming in earnest from the 20th. This work depicts the story of independence fighters who went to reclaim their stolen homeland in 1909 against the backdrop of Harbin, China. Hyun Bin plays Ahn Joong-geun, a lieutenant general of the Korean Armed Forces.

Along with Hyun Bin, Park Jung-min, Jeon Yeo-been, Jo Woo-jin, Yoo Jae-myung, and Park Hoon join the movie. Park Jung-min is in charge of independence fighter Woo Deok-soon, Jeon Yeo-been is in charge of independence army Lady Gong, Jo Woo-jin is also in charge of independence activist Kim Sang-hyeon, and Yoo Jae-myung is in charge of Ahn Joong-geun's helper Choi Jae-hyeong while Park Hoon plays the Japanese Mori Tatsuo.

The director Woo Min-ho, who created "Inside Men" (2015), "Drug King" (2018), and "The Man Standing Next" (2020), said at an event before the start of filming at the Ahn Joong-geun Memorial Hall on the 14th, "I'm nervous and excited because the way I approach my previous work, my mindset, and the story I want to talk about are different". Hyun Bin said in the same place, "I once went to the Ahn Joong-geun Memorial Hall alone after deciding to participate in the work", adding, "I felt a heavy tremor in my heart. I will do my best with great actors and staff", he said.

"Harbin" is expected to be released as early as next year.
