One said Kim and his regular actor Cho Jae-hyun, who has already resigned from a teaching post, both raped her after Kim called her to a hotel room to "discuss a script". She said he harassed her nightly as they were filming in a remote village, and there seemed to be an atmosphere of competition between the two men about raping women.

Speaking on a news program on Tuesday, another said Kim sexually harassed her multiple times during pre-production for a film she was cast in.

During the production, she accused the filmmaker of forcing her into unwanted and unscripted sex scenes and slapping her repeatedly as well as raping her on the set of the 2013 movie "Moebius", before replacing her with another actress.

Her rape charge against Kim was dismissed for lack of evidence but he had to pay a hefty fine.

Kim has picked up prizes at the Cannes, Venice and Berlin film festivals, often for movies with themes of violence against women.
