About this movie

In this award-winning dramedy set during the Korean War, a U.S. fighter pilot finds himself stranded with a group of lost soldiers from North & South Korea in a secluded village where residents are utterly unaware of the outside world, including the war. Together, they must try and save this quaint remote village from the destructions of the ongoing war. South Korea's official entry to the 2005 Academy Awards. Music by master composer - Joe Hisaishi.

Ugh... I couldn't stand the English subtitles. The sheer amount of translation which were left out is a shame. There were much more in - depth dialogs which for those who do not understand the Korean language missed out on due to the lacking subtitle. It's like the basic content is there for you to read but it misses out on the humor and the depth. Oh well, I suppose you get the basic meaning. I wish there was the option to turn the subtitles off. It was hard not to glance at it once in awhile,

5/5 thumbs up 👍! It's been a while since I've seen it, so I'm not sure how to describe it - "magical" comes to mind, although that would be "magical" by Korean standards. Very interesting.

inspiring to all people and to me! love it, I recommend this movie for all that can under stand Korean and people that don't understand Korean.
