20,000 tickets to Rain's Budokan concert sold out

All 20,000 tickets to a concert to be given by singer Rain at the largest Japanese concert hall of Budokan on Sept. 2-3 were sold out in just half a day. Entitled "Rainy Day Special", the concert is an encore performance of the singer's earlier concerts in Tokyo on July 30-31 and Osaka on Aug. 3-4.

According to Rain's agency, JYP Entertainment, tickets to the concert, costing 75,000 won to 85,000 won apiece, were completely sold out at three Japanese outlets in just half a day on Aug. 13.

"Although this concert is an encore performance of the 'Rainy Day ? Japan' series, it will feature a completely new stage setting. Rain has already visited Budokan to discuss preparations", said a person from the agency.

Japanese music experts say it is unprecedented for any given artist in Japan to hold two concerts in a row at the 10,000-seat Budokan Hall after also giving a successful concert at the Tokyo International Forum Hall, which accommodates 5,000 people. "
