'Spying Cam' is invited one after another from overseas

A low-budget independent cinema of 30 million won scale 'Spying Cam' by film director Whang Cheol-mean is being invited one after another from all sorts of oversea film festivals such as The Los Angeles Film Festival (June16-26) as well as the 54th Melbourne Film Festival (July 20-August 7).

Movie 'Spying Cam', which has its screening tour under way in the Netherlands since winning the Fipresci-Award in the 34th Lotterdam International Film Festival, is to be released in CGV Kangbyeon and in CGV Sangam on May 20.

Cinema 'Spying Cam' raises human rights issue through a tragedy of an era that a mean act of state such as watch, a menace, torture and cold war, the national security law and spy fabrication and so forth made.

Prior to this, movie 'Spying Cam' has garnered interest by being invited to the VPRO Tiger Awards, a competition section of the Rotterdam International Film Festival. 'Spying Cam' was selected as one film among a total of 11 movies from around the world, which were chosen as candidate films for the Human Rights Award.
