'Korean Connection' Triumphs at Golden Globes

The Korean-Canadian actress Sandra Oh has won a Golden Globe for best supporting actress in a series, miniseries or motion picture made for TV.

The actress was honored at the 63rd Golden Globe Awards at Los Angeles Beverly Hilton on Monday for her role on the hit series "Grey's Anatomy".

The ceremony for the awards presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association was broadcast live by NBC across North America.

This is the first Golden Globe triumph for an actor with a Korean background. Asked where she plans to put the trophy, Oh said, "This is going in my parents' home."

Oh is married to Alexander Paine, who directed her in "Sideways", and is one of Hollywood's most successful Asian actors with parts in "The Princess Diaries" and "Under a Tuscan Sun" to her credit.

The ABC drama "Lost" starring Korean actress Kim Yunjin netted the award for best drama series.
