'Ibsak - A Hen on the Front Yard' to receive KRW 700M from GDCA

An animation for the theater produced by Odoltogk and MK Pictures, "Leafie, A Hen Into The Wild" (Director: Oh Seong-yoon) will receive support worth KRW 700M from Gyeonggi Digital Content Agency (GDCA) after GDCA selected the animation as a 'legend-creating project'.

Based on Hwang, Sun-Mi's original bestselling children's story, "Leafie, A Hen Into The Wild", which sold about 700,000 copies in Korea, this 2D animation tells the dramatic adventure about 'Ibsak', a hen who wanted to lay eggs and escape from a poultry farm, and her family.

"This animation has accurately pointed out the demand in the Korean animation market, which was recognized by the jury", said GDCA.

The Legend-Creating Project was established to create successful business models in the domestic and foreign markets by supporting the production of full-featured Korean animation projects for theaters. With this selection, Ibsak - A Hen on the Front Yard will receive up to KRW 700M, production support up to KRW 560M and common-use equipment support up to KRW 140M.
