'Dear My Friends' first episode scores 5.1%, third among tvN dramas for first episode viewership rating

tvN's new Friday & Saturday drama, "Dear My Friends" was a success supported by the heated reaction from drama fans.

The first episode of 'My Dear Friends' aired on May 13th has announced the pleasant rebellion by the old school squad.

Writer Noh Hee-kyeong's exceptional ability shined through from the first episode by bringing out the harmonized chemistry between the veteran actors and Go Hyun-jung and therefore attracting the drama fans to the small screen.

According to Nielsen Korea, "Dear My Friends" episode one recorded average 5.1% and best 7.0% based on the numbers collected through cable TVs, IPTV integrated per household viewership rating

"Dear My Friends" ranked third place in terms of the viewership rating of the first episode of all the tvN dramas that have been aired so far, following after 'Reply 1988' and "Signal".

"Dear My Friends" episode one depicted the life of seniors from the point of view Park Wan, a young woman, who has minimal interest in the lives of senior people. As writer Noh Hee-kyeong said, "I've been observing the life of seniors without any unnecessary additives", the characters were realistic breathing alive. The absolutely flawless acting performance and their long time experience by the actors brought the characters to live.

The second episode on May 14th will star Zo In-sung, Daniel Henney and other special cameo actors.
