The Late Kim Min-kyung's One Year Death Anniversary

It has been a year since the late actress Kim Min-kyung passed away.

The late Kim Min-kyung died on August 16th last year. She was 61 years old.

The deceased began her acting career as a member of the theater company Shinhyup in 1971, and proved to be good at acting by winning the Korea Theater Festival Rookie of the Year Award in 1981. Since then, she has appeared in various works.

In the movie "Tazza: The High Rollers", she drew attention for playing the role of Goni's mother, and also met with the audience through "Microhabitat" and "Pipeline".

The last starring and posthumous work in her 40-year career is the currently playing film "Chorokbam". "Chorokbam" which was released on July 28th, is a work that offers the overwhelming charm of mise enchantment by carefully constructing mysterious and inner stories that take place when an unexpected death falls on an ordinary family.

In "Chorokbam", the late Kim Min-kyung transformed into Won-hyeong's mother and the wife to a security guard, and embodied a middle-aged woman who took care of her family without giving up on her weary and miserable life. Ironically, in "Chorokbam" she is the only role that shows vitality in a family where death is hung.

Director Yoon Seo-jin of "Chorokbam" said, "The late actress Kim Min-kyung always waited for us and treated us like children. So I still think about her a lot. I still can't believe she died", he said.
