The TVING original series "Monstrous" released the second teaser poster on the 7th.

"Monstrous" is a supernatural thriller that pursues the strange events that occur in a village and the villagers who see hell in their hearts when a cursed Buddha statue appears. The process of tracking the chaos, fear and bizarre curses of those who have been swept away by disaster provides suspense that penetrates to the bone.

Above all, expectations are high in that it will expand the Yeon Sang-ho Universe. It is written by writer Yeon Sang-ho, who showed unlimited imagination, ranging from the films "Seoul Station", "Train to Busan", and "Peninsula", which caused sensations last year, to the tvN drama "The Cursed", the Korean occult drama with shamanism which expanded the appearance of the genre. On top of that, writer Ryoo Yong-jae, who wrote "Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area", "My Holo Love" and "Pied Piper", will add strength, and director Jang Kun-jae, who swept the Busan Film Critics Association Award and the best drama award at the Asian Film Festival, will hold the megaphone to ensure completeness.

While the first teaser poster drew attention by announcing the start of a strange power, the second teaser poster catches the eye with the appearance of Jeong Gi-hoon (Koo Kyo-hwan) and Lee Soo-jin (Shin Hyun-been), who are dazzled by the Buddha. The two people face a strange being through the fabric sliding down their faces. The shape of the Buddha reflected in the deep and dark eyes of those drawn by irresistible mysterious power causes goosebumps. The mysterious letters written on the fabric also stimulate curiosity. While the gaze of Jeong Gi-hoon and Lee Soo-jin, who are caught up in fear and confusion, creates breathtaking tension, the phrase "Those who see the eyes, get trapped in hell" raises questions about the identity of the Buddha. Attention is focusing on what hell will be in their minds that swallowed them.

Koo Kyo-hwan turns into archaeologist Jeong Gi-hoon, who studies strange supernatural phenomena. Running the occult magazine and YouTube channel "Monthly Ghost Stories", he faces an unbelievable phenomenon while investigating the precious Buddha found in Jinyang-gun. Shin Hyun-been plays Lee Soo-jin, a genius pattern decoder who faces a terrible disaster. Due to the death of her only daughter, while living alone in Jinyang-gun alone, separated from her husband, Jeong Gi-hoon, she is swept away by the disaster brought about by the Buddha. Expectations are high for a supernatural thriller created by the two, Koo Kyo-hwan and Shin Hyun-been, who are on the rise with solid acting skills and unrivaled charm, chase the reality of unknown fear through intimate acting synergy.

The production team said, "Koo Kyo-hwan and Shin Hyun-been's detailed acting add strength to the original worldview built by writer Yeon Sang-ho. You can look forward to a new world of supernatural thrillers that reliable production crew and actors will complete".

Meanwhile, "Monstrous" is produced by Climax Studio, which successfully led "Hellbound" and "D.P". It will be released exclusively on TVING in April.
